Tommy and Gus with a fine chameleon specimen out in the Namib in the dunes near Swakopmund. We definitely recommend going on this tour.
Pinklepausen out in the Namib Dunes
Pinklepausen is apparently the German term for tinkle time. We were amazed at the quality of service 20 K out into the Namib Dunes. This rent-a-toilet had flush toilet, running water, soap and paper hand towels. Wonder if Tommy's Tours pays the fees on this?!
View from the Thule Hotel in Eros, Windhoek
Trying to quench our thirst after Embassy Halloween Function. Halloween falls in the summer here and running around town securing treats we worked up a powerful thirst.

Danger Will Robinson, Danger!
No it's not C3PO hanging out on the B1, it's a traffic signal. Sometimes the differences in Namibian English and American English are inexplicable.

Entrance to Etosha
Entering Etosha National Game Park near sunrise. Remember gates close at sunset!
Springbok
Cute and delicious. Joe's Beerhouse makes a fabulous springbok kabob out of these guys. Reid makes a fabulous springbok burguignon. Our Cajun relatives no doubt understand the perspective of "what kind of dish can I make with this?" Pooh Pooh Broussard would no doubt suggest that we make some rice upon viewing these guys.
More Namibian Wildlife
A chameleon lurking in the ruins of the abandoned mineral processing plant. The Namib, it would appear, isn't so devoid of life afterall.

All the kids busily searching for Bushmen tools at the Miller Farm while Kelly keeps an eye out for cobras.
Same Language
This of course means no honking of the horn...excuse me the hooter. Post to follow on differences with American English.
Mardi Gras Elephants?
This colorful elephant graces the entrance to the taxidermist's shop outside of Windhoek.
The Big Machine and family
The family in the Rover at Daan Viljoen. She took the rugged terrain like a champ!
Visit to Daan Viljoen
This Blue Wildebeest was so close to the vehicle that we could almost touch it.
